Solar Water Heater Thermostatic Mixing Valves

Thermostatic mixing valves are used in solar water heating systems to mix cold and hot water together in order to produce a flow of the correct temperature. Their primary use is to control the temperature of water coming from hot water heaters, and prevent excessive heat which could cause scalding, compensating for differences in solar power effiiency caused by the weather.
