The EXTROL hydro-pneumatic tank is available in diaphragm, full acceptance heavy-duty butyl bladder, and partial acceptance bladder designs in a broad range of sizes from 8 gallons (30 liters) to 3963 gallons (15,000 liters). Depending on the EXTROL HVAC Expansion tank model, maximum allowable working pressures up to 250 psi (17 bar) can be accommodated. Through the use of a pneumatic cushion, the EXTROL is designed to maintain a positive pressure on the HVAC system during all temperature excursions in the system's operating range.
