Split-System AC & Heat Pump
HVAC split-systems require an air conditioner or a heat pump, which technicians place in remote location. Split-system air conditioners are for cooling only and work with forced-air duct systems or with units where the furnace is separate from the air handler. Heat Pumps handle both cooling and electric heating. They operate at low energy cost when outside temperatures reach above twenty-five degrees Fahrenheit. Split-System AC and Heat Pump can run on either 120 or 220 AC volts.
